City Guide: Living and working in Hong Kong

by on February 8, 2010

If you are considering taking a job in Hong Kong, you’ll first have to decide if you really want to live here, and if so, how to go about making the transition.  If you are taken on by a local firm, they will of course handle many of the details of your move and provide you with resources to help you investigate things like visa requirements, housing, schools, shopping, etc.   However, we know from personal experience that the list of things you’ll need to know about or find when you settle into your new home is endless.  We hope to not only place you with the right firm, but to also offer you even more insight and useful links which will help make your entry into Hong Kong as easy as possible.

To get you started, please have a look at our GUIDE TO LIVING AND WORKING IN HONG KONG which will give some basic information about things to consider when coming to Hong Kong.

And without a doubt, the most important site you’ll need to remember is the website of the Hong Kong Government, which will answer many of your questions and provide you with details for offices that you may need to contact.

Looking forward to your arrival!
