by on July 9, 2010

Every Friday we will bring you the latest job openings in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.  With improving employment news across Asia, we have even more positions for qualified candidates looking to move their careers forward.  This week, we have a number of new positions for which we are seeking ambitious legal professionals interested in working in Singapore.

1. Professional Support Lawyer, Banking/Finance, 4+ PQE

This is a position for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer or a lawyer looking to move away from a fee earning role. You will be assisting in the preparation and revision of firm transactions precedents, preparing for and presenting internal/client training seminars, and researching for and preparing client briefings on items of topical interest. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of recent practicing experience in a banking/finance team at a premier local or international law firm. As you will be working closely with lawyers, partners and support staff across the firm, it is important that you be a team player with great interpersonal skills. Candidates pursuing this exceptional opportunity must be Singapore qualified. Whilst this is a full time role, the firm is happy to consider candidates looking for part time positions or a flexible working arrangement.

2. Shipping Associate, 6 years PQE

Highly regarded name in the shipping space internationally seeks an experienced associate. The work on offer is a full range of shipping work and suitable candidates will have a high degree of confidence working independently. A rare opportunity on the market.

3. Project Finance Partner, 5 years PQE

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate or Partner level lawyer. Suitable candidates will be qualified in Singapore and/or E&W. Strong project finance experience is essential and lender-focused experience will be highly regarded. This role has arisen because of active succession planning on the part of our international firm client so, while good business development skills are important, a following is NOT required.
